Clients expect housing with essential amenities in place. Reliable Wi-Fi, cleaning service, all-inclusive utilities and 24/7 guest support is essential – learn more about what your serviced accommodation should include, to ensure the comfort and safety of our mutual guests.
When welcoming business travelers, it’s important to remember they’re looking for more than just a place to sleep. They are looking for a space that feels reliable, comfortable and ready to support daily routines, especially when staying for extended periods.
At a minimum, every apartment should include:
1. Sleeping arrangements
A comfortable single or double bed with fresh linens.
2. Kitchen essentials
A functional cooking setup, whether a stovetop with an oven, microwave or combination of both in one appliance, along with basic cookware such as pots, pans, utensils and a fridge with a freezer or freezer compartment. Storage space is also key for longer stays.
3. Bathroom basics
A shower, bathtub or shower over the bath, plus essential amenities such as toilet paper, hand soap and clean towels.
4. Routine cleaning
While weekly cleaning is our standard requirement, some clients ask for more or less frequent cleans. This includes changing towels and bedlinen, as well as general cleaning of the accommodation in all areas and rooms.
5. Other necessities
Stable WIFI access, TV and a private washing machine or shared laundry facilities for residents in the building. A drying rack, storage space for personal items, hangers and spare bedding all contribute to a comfortable stay and address basic needs of any tenant.
Small enhancements can significantly elevate guest experience and set your property apart. These upgrades are not mandatory, but they go a long way in making guests feel truly at home:
1. Comfortable living space
A sofa or sofa bed, dining area with chairs, an armchair or additional seating and access to an outdoor area such as a balcony or terrace.
2. Elevated kitchen features
Appliances like a dishwasher, air fryer, rice cooker, juicer or blender, as well as an automatic coffee machine of any kind add convenience and comfort, especially during extended stays.
3. Bathroom additions
A quality hairdryer is a small but highly appreciated touch for busy guests.
4. Laundry and convenience
An automatic dryer brings real value, particularly during longer stays or in colder climates where hang-drying isn’t always possible.
5. Extra services and features
On-demand cleaning and concierge services, furniture for small children (cots, feeding chairs) or allowing guests to stay with pets are often specifically requested by corporate travelers. Welcome sets consisting of cleaning supplies and kitchen basics (salt and pepper, water, tea, coffee and other small staples; dish soap, kitchen towels, laundry and dishwasher pods or extra trash bags) are highly appreciated.
Sustainability in accommodation is becoming a staple for business travelers – learn more about it here.
6. Safety Enhancements:
Fire extinguishers, fire blankets and a CO detector not only add peace of mind but are also required by some corporate clients. These items are inexpensive, easy to install and demonstrate strong commitment to guest safety.
Creating great corporate housing is ultimately about reliability and comfort. With the right essentials and a few thoughtful upgrades, your property becomes a place business travelers genuinely enjoy returning to, making every stay enjoyable both you and our mutual guests.
